Jeremih, a Chi-town native, has been killing the airways with his new single, Birthday Sex. I have to say that this record is off the chain!… once you get past some of the out-of-tune notes on the vocals.

Oh, you noticed too?  Sounds alot like The Dream, huh? When I first heard it I could’ve sworn that Tricky Stewart and The Dream teamed up again as they did on Ciara’s Like a Surgeon to create this raunchy jam. But I was wrong; Mike Schultz and Jeremih just did a really good job copying Tricky’s emulation of the Prince’s style of production and the loose writing style of the Dream. Maybe that explains why I like the record so much. Hopefully Jeremih finds his own style and lets the Dream keep his own niche,  but definitely be on the lookout for this kid in the future.
